Assaf Harofeh Medical Center is an 826-bed general academic hospital, situated between Rishon Le Zion, Lod and Ramla, 15 km East of Tel-Aviv. It provides medical and surgical care for a population of 450,000 people: Jews, Moslems and Christians. The majority of the target population belongs to Israel’s weaker socio-economical group.

The Friends of Assaf Harofeh Medical Center is a nonprofit organization, established in 1967, with the purpose of supporting the advancement and development of the medical services of the hospital.

Donations to the Friends of Assaf Harofeh Medical Center are legally recognized for tax exemption by the U.S Internal Revenue Services, and in Israel as well as in various European countries according to the law prevailing in each country.
